The National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) offers scientists from academia, government labs, and other institutions exciting research possibilities in a wide variety of fields. The successor to NSLS, NSLS-II is the most advanced synchrotron light source.

Dufrane provided the design, fabrication and installation of 1680 tons of High Density Concrete Shield Blocks which are utilized within the Ratchet Wall, Booster Ring, and Test Room areas of the NSLS-II building. Along with the High Density Blocks, Dufrane fabricated and installed structural steel at various locations throughout the facility.
